📘 WorkStep Camera – User Guide

🏁 Introduction

WorkStep Camera helps you capture, organize, and search photos smarter — whether it’s for work tasks or personal memories.
This guide walks you through all the main features, step by step.



1️⃣ Rename Folders – Keep Everything Organized

  • Press and hold any folder name to rename it.

  • Use simple and clear names — for example: Worksite A, Family Trip, or My Garden Project.
    💡 Tip: Organized folders make searching much faster later.

  • If you want to delete folders, delete the last folder. Press and hold the last folder, and when the panel appears, choose Delete.













2️⃣ Capture Photos in Order

  • Inside each folder, there are 10 rows and 10 columns where you can organize your work in order — step 1, step 2, step 3… — or arrange photos as “before” and “after” to show progress and results.

  • Perfect for documenting repair steps, product assembly, or any process that needs order.













3️⃣ View and Add Notes

  • Tap any photo to view it.

  • Add text notes — describe your task, event, or even your feelings for a memory.
    Example:

“Step 2 – Replaced the filter of machine” 

“Happy 12th birthday daughter”

“Happy beach trip 2018 🍰”


 




4️⃣ Search Photos Instantly

  • Use the 🔍 Search bar to find photos.

  • Type folder names or any keywords from your notes.

  • WorkStep Camera will list all matching photos — tap one to jump directly to it.
    💡 No more scrolling endlessly to find one photo.











5️⃣ Share Photos & Reports

WorkStep Camera offers multiple ways to share:

  • Share photos only

  • Share full WorkStep (.wstep) = (folder with phote + note to import other phone)

  • Share Excel reports with photos and notes automatically included
    Perfect for reporting, collaboration, or sharing memories.

  • In the Share section, there is a Copy to My Projects feature that lets you copy an entire folder into another empty folder, or copy from an imported folder into the app’s folder.










6️⃣ Photo Tools

Manage your photos with ease: Hold on the photo icon to display the functions

  • Move, Copy, Delete, Zoom

  • Overwrite (retake) existing photo

  • Save photo to device Gallery or to your cloud

  • Import photos from Gallery or from your cloud

  • Swipe in 4 directions to browse through steps

  • To cut photos from one folder to another, go to Multiple Move, select multiple photos, tap the Cut icon, then switch to the target folder. Press and hold on an empty area, and when the panel appears, choose Paste Photos.








7️⃣ Project (WSTEP) Management

Your entire workflow can be saved as .wstep files:

  • Import existing WorkStep (.wstep)

  • Save or duplicate folder

  • Add or delete folders (Hold the last folder to delete)

  • Manage Trash — delete permanently or restore anytime










8️⃣ Options & Settings

Make the app fit your workflow:

  • Store without Gallery: Keep photos private inside the app

  • Add time stamps to photos automatically

  • Add notes on capture (instant annotation)

  • Multi-language interface support

  • Custom icons — choose from built-in sets or add your own

  • Photo quality control — choose speed or high quality

  • Clean All Trash — free up storage space easily
